How this site is paid for
65Thrive is a hobby project. It earns no money, and it costs less each month to run than an ad-free Netflix subscription. That bill is paid out of pocket by the person who builds it.
Where money doesn't come from
- No insurance sales or commissions. We don't sell plans, and no insurer or agent pays us when you pick one.
- No leads. We don't collect your name, phone number or email to pass to anyone. There is no "talk to an agent" button.
- No advertising. No ads, and no plan is placed higher because someone paid for it.
- No selling your information. There is nothing to sell: you don't sign up, and we don't ask who you are.
What the costs are
A web server, a database to hold Medicare's plan files, and the domain name. Together they come to less than an ad-free Netflix subscription a month.
Why you can trust what you see here
- The numbers are Medicare's. Premiums, copays, drug coverage and star ratings come from the public files the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) publishes for every plan.
- No plan is placed higher because of who sells it. Every plan sold in your county is shown, including the ones that look worse.
- Estimates say they're estimates. Where a figure is worked out rather than filed, such as next year's drug prices before Medicare publishes them, the page says so.
- Little about you is kept. Your ZIP code and drugs are kept for your visit, not in an account, and never shared. Visits are counted with GoatCounter, which uses no tracking cookies. If you comment, your browser keeps a cookie with a made-up name, and that's all.
- Mistakes get fixed. If something looks wrong, report it and it will be checked.
